1. Dream record:
I'm in a large communal warehouse type environment. A woman tells me she and another man I had been speaking with wants to have sex with me. I entertain the idea. In fact, I'm somewhat turned on by the prospect until I see the large, thick beds we are to are soaked in red blood stains. I can smell the blood, and at the same time I sense that we're both bleeding and it makes me feel unclean.

3. Commentary:
The dream was less laden with emotions than it was with senses. For example, the sense of sexual adventure was heavy in this dream and feeling the impulse in my body was palpable, as was the other sensation of smell. Interesting that the woman was the one who proposed the three-some initially, and although it didn't take place, the relationship was definitely stronger with her than the man. I didn't feel shame or embarrassment, surprisingly.
4. Initial interpretations: What is your immediate impression of the dream’s meaning?
Senses were awoken and centered on the womb, and the erotic map, and relationships, so much so, that I had a slight menstrual cramp in the morning. Given I'm post-menopausal, and we happen to be in a waxing moon phase this might symbolize a new cycle of feminine power, and the blood was meant as a kind of release, or a form of cleansing or shedding much like menstruation functions as.
5. Conscious concerns: Briefly note events that could have led to the dream.
My biggest menopausal symptom has been UTI and full bladder, so my attention has been put on that. I've been experimenting with Salvia D-A for the past month slowly with the intention being around easing menopause. Before the dream, I had several Tarot/astrology messages about the need to cleanse and clearing. I also had my Salvia biggest encounter to date (not fully immersed, but enough to feel it get into my system), so I can't help but think the dream was provoked by entering into this realm. Perhaps Salvia was personified in the dream as a female ally healer to help clean the womb space.
I'm also shifting my work identity, from that of an employee or contractor, that supports a leader to one of an advisor and a coach that co-creates more fluidly.
6. Key words/symbols: Select the main words from the dream and write down associations and meanings to you.
Space = Container / Womb. This is an inner room where transformation can occur, like a creative or regenerative chamber.
Sexual relations = Strong relation with bodily sensations. Sexuality here may be less about another person and more about reconnection with sensation, desire, embodiment, and aliveness.
Turned on = Renewed / Impulsive. Libido in Jungian terms is life energy, not only sexual desire. Being turned on may indicate creative ignition.
Thick beds = Lining / Support. Evokes uterine lining, readiness, cushioning, fertility of psyche, as if something has been prepared internally.
Soaked in blood = Menstruation / Saturation. Being immersed in a powerful feminine process of initiation. “Soaked” suggests the dream wants full contact with this energy.
Smells blood = Grounded in the body. Smell is primal and animal-level knowing. This may indicate returning into direct embodied intelligence.
Both bleeding = Sympathetic / We are the same. Perhaps kinship, mirroring, shared womanhood, mutual vulnerability, or identification with another feminine aspect of self or generations of women.
Unclean = Gone / Rid of. Instead of shame, I experience “unclean” as “something leaving.” The psyche may be transforming inherited ideas about impurity into purification-through-release.
7.Intepretation: See how the symbolic meanings fit together to give messages on several levels.
Menstrual imagery here is fully symbolic. It's no longer about reproduction, but wisdom, creativity, eros, guidance, intuition After menopause, my feminine life force is changing form as is my relationship to work and carer. Sexuality, blood, and shared embodiment are returning as symbols of vitality, connection, and the release of old identities and being open to a new relationship with myself and others?
8. Application: Apply the dream’s message to your life. I am...
I am living in a womb of renewal, where old blood becomes wisdom, desire becomes life force, and what has passed makes space for what is now ready to be born.
9. Embodied Imagination Exercise
Re-entering...
The smell of blood.
The thickness of the bed
The sensation of being turned on
The shared sense of bleeding
